Hi.

I have been raw for about 6 months or so and I have a question. Everytime I exercise, whether it is yoga or running, I almost immediately swell. My entire body swells, not just my hands and feet.

I do have some health issues. My acupuncturist said I had adrenal fatigue and believes that is the reason for the swelling. I was just curious if anyone else experiences this and what they do to compensate for it. I was advised to stay away from heavy cardio exercise, but I feel like I'm gaining weight and want to incorporate it back into my life.

Thank you in advance!

-Sam

P.S.- I stay away from any kind of salt because of this problem.

just browsing and I see no one ever responded to your question....hope you didn't pop after all these weeks of waiting for an answer;) As an endurance athlete (aka runner) it has been my experience that your body will swell due to your bodies natural inflammation response due to a build up of lactic acid and "muscle waste"....Whenever I do a long run this happens to me. I find if I stick to juicy fruits including natural diuretics I am helped (ie melons, citrus fruits....) + an activity a few hours later (walk or esp. a swim) or a cool bath....will all help with inflammation....staying away from the salt is wise as well.....hope this helps!
