Hey guys,
I'm not sure if any of you remember me, but I am from New Zealand and am trying to live a high raw diet, but it is difficult because the products you use elsewhere in the world are hard to find here and VERY expensive. So, imagine my excitment when I discovered that I can buy a saladacco, here!! Now i can finally make the pasta sauce recipes in Alissa's book ..
BUT, before I shell out my money, I wanted to know. Do any of you have one? Can you give me advice whether or not it is a good purchase??
Thanking you, Razzle x

I use a spirooli, but I have never heard anyone complain about the saladacco. I have read a lot of great remarks about them. I have heard some people have troubles with the spirooli though. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to get used to operating. Sometimes the blades are not in correctly and need to be turned around. I really enjoy using mine. I do not use it every day, but it is nice to have on hand for whenever I do.
Seems like Alissa carries those too?
I would say go for it if you can get it at a price you are willing to pay for it. Even my SAD kids love to use it and then eat what they "spaghetti -ize".

Hello. I own one and it works great. I think it's important to follow the simple directions precisely and your food will turn out great. I love to make raw pasta from zucchini.:D

Listen Lovey,
I'm in Australia so you can order some of the stuff from Oz online. Email me and I'll give you some web addresses. My email is: kyrie33@hotmail.com.
Also you don't need anything other than your vege peeler to make zucchini pasta. Just peel off the green part, and discard if you wish, then keep peeling zucchini until you get to the seeds. Then discard the seed bed.
NOw if you can't get agave and have no prob with honey use that or even maple syrup. Do what works for the moment, cause if memory serves me right you are still a student aren't you?
IF you like mushrooms, and can get a starter kit, make your own. If you've got a garden you can grow certain things.
Never say can't. There is always a way!!!
Good luck,
Carla.

I'd also been contemplating buying a saladacco but had read mixed reviews and some saying to buy a spirooli instead! Now I'm even more confused :s
I have a few questions if anyone can answer them-
Is the only veg that really works zucchini?
How long do they last before (if) they start malfunctioning?
How often do you use yours?
Cheers :) x

Last time I posted a website address on here they deleted the entire post and it really frustrated me! So I'm not going to do that again..email me at spinthebottle.champ@gmail.com, I know a place that ships them all over NZ for $6!
