This has probably been covered before but I have to rave about it!
I went to NY this week and went there with my mum (meat-eater), and we both loved it.

Didn't have time for an appetizer cos we were in a hurry (I would have had the sushi rolls) but I had the lasagne and it was amazing! Best food I have had in as long as I can remember. My mum had the biriyani w/ veg which was really good too but not as good as the lasagne :) I had the classic sundae for dessert, first time I have had any sort of ice cream since giving up eggs and dairy and it was ace. I bought their recipe book and it looks really good.

If only there was a place like it in London :(

Hi there!

Hey, I'm confused. Is this supposed to be a raw foodists' restaurant? Um... ice cream? wine? sushi? lasagne?

Am I missing something? This sounds like SAD to me, but then, I've never been to "Pure Food and Wine" and there sure ain't any branches out here in Siberia.

I was there last Saturday night!!!:D
It was awesome!!! I was in NY visiting my son and his finace.
They have never had raw food and I had never been to a raw
restaurant. We got the 5 course tasting menu. It is all chef's choice.
It was actually 7 courses. For each course except the soup we each got something different and each tried all the other's foods, so had a huge amount of variety. The best of all was the lasagna and the chocolate cake.
They also got abottle of wine.
The service, the atmosphere and the food were all amazing!!!
We had a blast. I was so happy they were into trying everything and they really liked most of it and said they will go themselves sometime!!:D

Around the corner is their takeout store..I was in from out of town so was able to get some delicious raw almond milk, macaroons, etc...I loved the whole experience!!!

A very high end restaurant but really a cool and special treat!!

I have Sarmas (definitely have a crush on her) book on the way. I will post the recipe if it's listed.

BTW, I was so excited to find this restaurant in NYC and even more excited to learn it is only about 10 streets down from me.

I can't wait to visit!!

I have Sarma's book! It's sooo pretty :)
It has recipes for chocolate ganache tart, chocolate pudding, ice cream which can be made chocolate and chocolate fudge if any of those would hit the spot! I can message recipes if you want.

sarma's and michael's book was the first book on raw food that I got, and as a graphic designer, I was so impressed by the beauty of the pictures and layout. I haven't EVER been disappointed by any of their recipes. The ice cream really really is phenomenal, as are the buckwheat crispies (a staple in my diet :)).

Thanks~ *s* I have their book too and it isn't in there~:(
It was a great experience going there.loved it. You are lucky to be so close and the take out is right around the corner AND they have fresh made almond milk which is a staple for me, if you haven't already tried it!!
