Radiantly Raw

I made this super easy dish yesterday for my hubby, who was craving something like "fried apples" like you get at Cracker Barrel. I'm sure most of you don't even know what that means! It was yummy enough that my girls asked for some this morning. Seems like a perfect fall dish, and it was very simple and quick.
Anyway, I peeled 2 apples and then sliced them thin, in bite size pieces. In another bowl I made a sauce of agave syrup and ground cinnamon. I didn't measure, just tasted to make sure there was good ratio of agave to cinnamon. I poured the sauce over the apples in a bowl, tossed with a spoon to evenly coat, then popped it into the dehydrator for 2 to 3 hours! I keep mine set to 105. I did stir it once in the middle of dehydrating cause I wanted the apples to be evenly "marinated" or coated, etc. As it warms up, juice from the apples comes out and makes more sauce in the bowl!
I'm sure there are a ton of other things to do with it, like add a crumble to the top, or granola. It's just cool to know I did it on my own, although not the most creative thing, I know! It's probably just half of an apple recipe or something! ;) LOL! But, I'm proud of it anyway!
It was way yummy & hubby was thrilled and kept making yum sounds while eating them! :D I did good! Which is big considering he doesn't like almost all the recipes I've tried so far!
Here's a before dehydrating & after dehydrating pic, so you can see how I sliced the apples, and how there was more sauce at the end. The apples softened a good bit too!
