Soooooooooo, a month ago I got a mouth sore on my uvuella. (punching bag thing in back throat for those dirty minded folks :p )
Never had one before but I couldn't talk with out major pain. (not the movie)
And since I work in a call center this is nessesary. I didn't want to call in sick b/c I felt fine.
So, I told my manager and he had a guy in another area of our dept give me some paper work he's been behind on b/c of our system conversion. This was a wednesday. I did those things the rest of the week. The next week that guy went on vacation and I finished the paperwork. I asked my manger if I could work in his system to do the ones that were sent through a different system. I did those all the week the other guy was on vacation.
Then, the next week my manager asked me to do customer emails. :D I did that for another 2 1/2 weeks. until Friday last week. Finally after 2 months we are caught completely up. Last week sometime i heard that our ATM/check card dept was still really behind from the conversion.
I asked about it with my manager and he said at the moment no we need you on the phone.
I didn't ask again. Well, a little bit ago he said in the manager's meeting yesterday that I had expressed interest in helping ATM's out. They said okay! :D
YAY!!!!!!!! I get to be off the phones!!!!! (i've been answering phones for 6 1/2 years guys. since one week after my 19th birthday!) I've worked with this credit union for 10 months. And already i'm being recognized. I never was at my old job.
So,since I kept this so short..................
Since you've been raw, have you seen any improvment in your work?
Has others recognized this and you've been promoted or given tasks that wouldn't have been heard of before?
Have you been trusted with more?
Have you gotten an interview with a company you've wanted to work at and got the position??
have you gotten crazy good raises?
