I have been looking and can't find a raw vegan food chart like the one for Sad eaters that is triangle shaped although I saw one on a raw youtube video. Anybody know a site where I can print one out? Thanks!

this might seem ignorant. but i haven't looked at a food chart since elementary school.
Let alone can I read it.
is this saying we need one serving of Algae a day, 2 servings of Herbs and juicing grasses, 2 of nuts and seeds, 4 of sprouts, 2 of fruit????, 4 of veggies, 6 of leafy greens, 8 "glasses" of water a day?
and what constitutes 8 glasses?

Hey I was just at the Watershead today picking up some cocoa nibs and spirullina. The guy that made this pyramid is in the town were I am living, Lansing, Michigan.

I don't see any serving recommendations on the pyerimid so I don't know where you came up with those numbers. I think Bob is just showing the main foods as water, green leafies, fruits and veggies. Bob is really into ionized water and spirullina and choreala

LadyPeace . . . It's not an exact ratio, more like a guideline, or an emphasis. I look at it as an opportunity to review my eating habits and to consider whether or not I'm maintaining a decent (healthy) balance. Maybe I need a tune-up? ;)

Thanks Veganforlife & SmilingRawDancer.

There are a few interesting pie charts in "Green for Life" that compare raw and primate diets.

I was looking at as how many pictures where on it. I dunno. I didn't follow the American food chart. I'll stick to following myself with raw too. :D

ahh.. very observant of you! I am so blunt sometimes I miss the subtleties:) Yeah I'm with you on fallowing your own body. I was never into exact measurements of stuff either. But I think the carts look cool and it is nice to have a basic idea of stuff. I can ask bob about the picture next time I see him but knowing him and having read his book I think He put the picture in to make it look nice

Thanks Veganforlife! It's great. Can't print it out (well I can but it has SAMPLE across it) but I may order it. I am just trying to figure out how to get the right balance as I am still having bloating 23 days into my 30 day challenge. I was having addictive behaviour with sprouted dehydrated pumpkin seeds and some sprouted dehydrated spiced nuts I got at the raw food fest for the past week and I don't think that helps. I think my body has a hard time digesting nuts. I know Alissa says don't worry about balance if I remember what her book says correctly, that it will all balance out over time but I think I am doing something wrong. Got a sample of some enzymes in the mail and they do seem to be helping some so at my age (55 in few days)maybe I just need more of those. Any suggestions?

I suggest Probiotics. It also may just take some time for your body to get used to the additional fiber.

When I look at the raw food pyramid I see water at the base and think I should be getting lots of water everyday and going up the pyramid I see I should be getting more of the things near the bottom and less quantity of the things at the top.
