Hi. I was in my local grocery store this weekend and found peeled coconuts. The hard brown hairy part was peeled off leaving a white bulb full of coconut water. I bought one out of curiosity. It is delicious. I drained the coconut water into the vitamix along with the meat and blended it all together then poured it into ice cube trays and froze it. Now I can just take out a cube and throw it in a smoothie. It is delicious with pineapple. It is rich so having it in small portions works great.

Are you sure these are the baby coconuts? They are white and you cut them open and they have meat and coconut milk inside. Just curious :)

Yes, it is definitely a mature coconut as I have been buying the young ones and familar with them. Now if you would have asked me this a couple of months ago I wouldn't have known the different. It is in a plastic bag (i know plastic ugh) then in a mesh bag. The exterior is the hard meat of the mature coconut and there is water inside. I was curious more than anything so I purchased it and to my luck I was pleasantly surprised.
For anyone in the Dallas area, I found them at Kroger at Midway and Frankford. In the produce section in the refrigerated section in a wicker basket above the collard greens etc.
Next time I have one I will take a picture and post it. It may be a while though as I froze them in ice cube trays and it made a bunch.
Oh my gosh, I'm heading to the north side of town!!!
