It started with me not being able to feel my tongue and then the left side of my neck started swelling up slightly, then tingling on that side around my temple and eye.
Believe me i was scared, i didn't know what was happening to me.
I thought all sorts of things, i started thinking about going to the doctor then i thought maybe it's a detox, i hoped it was.
Then (excuse me) i thought maybe if i could just go to the restroom so when we got to our destination i took off going not realizing i was going into the men's room:eek:  i started going and going and yes it keeped, i started feeling some better then:eek:
the door opens and there i am with my rear in the open and thank God it was my husband that opened the door and some poor lady saw me.
I hope i can live long enough to live it down.
I will always look for the women's sign from now on.

Are you okay now? Was it an allergic reaction to something you ate?

Hey B! Wow...glad that you started feeling better after "going"! I'm sure you'll be okay as far as the little faux pas goes! Don't feel bad...you were having a rough moment at the time! So, as Stacie asked, DO you think you had an allergic reaction to something?

I hope you are feeling much better! Yes my first thought was an allergic reaction too.
BTW I will go into the mens room on Purpose if the gels room is too busy or locked. I have no problems with so hey dont feel bad I mean really it's not THAT bad in the scope of things :o
All the best!

My first thought was something like Bell's Palsy. Did the sensations go away?

Thanks for the concern and care.
Yes, i'm feeling much better, when i got home i drank loads of water, my hubby says it's because of the toxins in my body and not enough water to flush them out.
Yes, Bell's Pasly came to mind but there was no drooling involved and the tingling is going away.
I'm getting more in love with water everyday and i'm just glad it was my husband who saw my with my bottom in the air and the poor little lady at the table:eek: What a show she got and it was all for free:) Dinner and a "SHOW".

Glad you are better. It may have been a sensitivity to a food.
I ate at a Buffet one night last week day and had a salad and fruit and had a Panic Attack driving home. I had tinkling lips, ears and shallow breathing, I was itchy too. Classic symptoms of my Seafood/Fish allery. I got home looked in the Mirror and saw a Flat Red rash on my face and neck...my Seafood Allergy symptoms. SO I had 2 Bendryl. I remember seeing raw Clams and Shrimp near the fruit so I figured someone splashed clam or shrimp juice in the fruit..you never know..I will never eat at a Buffet ever again.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. My first thought was walnuts or pecans. Sounded like a nut allergy reaction. I hope that reaction was a one timer.:o

Either that or a radical detox.

...what you have just discribed is what I refer to as "fear of food I didn't prepare". I remember when I first went raw I was actually deathly afraid of cross contamination. I must admit, I am still rather cautious.

I was wondering if you ate kale....if one eats kale too many times in a row it will cause numbness....I ate kale many days in a row and every time(as I look back) I got nausea and felt headachy and kind of light headed. When I relaized I alternated greens and had no more problems.
