Eat other things at first. The nut allergy will prolly go away after cleansing healing and rebuilding. Can they eat seeds?

I went to a raw retreat at the beginning of this month run by Shazzie, Kate Magic and Dave Wolfe. They all said that they don't eat many nuts now as they feel that they are hard to digest. They fed us for 4 days without using nuts so it can be done.

So if your co-worker can eat seeds then s/he is laughing! Flax, sunflower, hemp, sesame, chia are all useful and tasty.
And then fruit, veg, seaweeds and superfoods if you like them.

For example I've just made some chocolate balls

1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup hemp seeds
1 cup dates
1 tbl raw carob powder
1 tbl raw cacao powder
1/4 tsp purple corn extract (optional)

all mixed up in food processor and rolled into balls. Yummy and not a nut in sight!

Just don't eat them or the recepies that call for them :D I'm allergic to nuts and actually prefer to eat more simple foods and combinations. It can be done :)

This is true! Allergies or intolerances to foods are usually due to a toxic system. My daughter was allergic to nuts and citrus fruit. I put her on raw foods, omitting those items (as it's been said, there are PLENTY of other things to eat and if possible your co-worker can sub seeds for the nuts) and then after a while, we slowly and gradually re-introduced those foods and now she can eat them with no problem!

Some nut allergies are very severe or are anaphylactic (like my daughter's peanut allergy).

If you want to "test" these nuts, I advise you to be in an allergist's office with full rescue equipment.

People do die from food allergies, and though raw can heal you, you should be SAFE!

BTW, not all nuts are related. My daughter is allergic to two categories.....very allergic, meaning we can't be anywhere near them, or she will start to go anaphylactic. But almonds and pistachios are fine, and she enjoys them. SO, maybe there are nuts in ANOTHER food group family that would be fine.

That said, we live majorally (is that a word?) on seeds, pumpkin and sunflower. Oh yeah, and sesame. YUMMM!MMMMM!!!! And no heavy feeling from the nuts to bring me down.

Being low nuts, I just up my sprouts. When I run out of seeds, I just do sprouts.

Okay, that is good. I'll print this thread to show her... I'm not sure if she is allergic to all nuts and seeds or just a few...

Thank you guys!

And it's not like a raw & living foods lifestyle evolves around nuts, the focus is on fresh produce, like fruits, vegetables, sprouts, mushrooms etc. At least, it is in my case (but my bet would be that most people don't eat like 10 kilos of nuts or seeds per day :)).
