I saw a recipe that calls for 2 spoonfuls of mesquite meal, do healthfood stores usually carry that? It is supposed to taste like toffee or butterscotch?
I never really tried it alone, I always had it with maca and cacao but they all complement each other. Unless you've got a seriously rockin' health food store then chances are they won't have it. My HFS has a good amount of raw things but I've never seen mesquite or lucuma.

One of my local health foods stores does carry that and a lot of other raw foods. Mesquite meal does taste a little like toffee and has a mild smokey favor. It's slightly sweet too. It really has its own unique favor.
