Well, I made it through the 1st 6 months! It has been a great experience! I have lost about 18lbs. I would still like to lose about 5-10 more.

I am having a problem though if anyone knows what might be my issue. I have HORRIBLE acne on my face. My skin has been so nice, but the last couple of months it has been breaking out terribly. Along with being very emotional before periods and very sore breasts before periods. I feel like a teenager! (I am 35!) HELP!

thats great! 5 months and 3 weeks from now i'll be able to say the same thing:p As for the skin problem, I'm sorry to hear that; it can be very frustrating. Proactiv maybe? I don't know your stance on "natural hygeine" etc, but i've seen the system really work.

Congrats on 6 months raw and your weight loss. I wish I had advice on acne but I have no clue why that would happen unless it's your body detoxing.

Congratulations on your 6 months!!:D :D GREAT JOB!

I agree that it may be detox. My skin has reacted to raw. Not necessarily in the form of acne but some small breakouts like I haven't had since I was a teenager (don't want to say how may decades ago that was!!;) and sometimes oiliness (which I guess I shouldn't complain about).:o

Hang in there! Just like the acne came it will probably go away.

Make sure your getting plenty of natural raw food fiber. The body's preferred way of getting rid of toxins is through fiber but if that route isn't available then it will go another way. Congrats on 6 months.

Congrats!

What is your intake of papaya, mango and pineapple? These are very eliminating foods so if you've increased your consumption of any of those or combined them all together, maybe it's that.

Suzi,

I know people get tired of hearing this...but it's probably detox in one form or another. Your body sounds like mine in that, it uses my skin (face) to expel toxins in the way of acne. Not too get to personal or graphic, but how are your eliminations? As it was mentioned, get plenty of raw fiber, drink water to help flush out...maybe even consider doing some bowel cleansing as well to help move things along.

As for the sore breasts and the PMS symptoms...could be some hormonal balancing taking place and you're retracing some things of the past as your body heals/cleanses on a deeper level.

Have you considered fasting or juice feasting for a while?

Cherie,
I have been eliminating well enough, in fact more than I was before. I know I still need more water though. I have definitely considered juice feasting. I have kind of been putting it off because I am enjoying all of this food so darn much! I know I need to just do it!

I find that evening primrose oil supplements works wonders for pre PMS moodiness. I take 1300mg three times a day from after ovulation until my period starts. I had a good friend call them her anti witch pills.

Congrats Suzi!

Recently, I noticed that when I eat: greens, nori, water and fresh fruit I have 0 zits and usually I have persistent acne over my face. I noticed my skin clearing up especially when I started eating the fresh fruits and veggies.
