Yesterday at the farmer's market I saw organic almonds for 11.00/lb. and another stand selling them for 6.00/lb. so I began asking the grower some questions regarding his methods.
He swore he didn't pasteurize or steam them in any way, but did admit to using a fungicide for mold. He didn't know the name of it but said it was "perfectly safe". I tried googling this but didn't get anywhere. Any thoughts on this (I bought them :eek: )?
