tastes just like SAD version to me.

i put it in a small round pie tin for chocolate cream pie. you could put it on a pie crust too if you want.

ingredients:
2 cups coconut cream (the cream that separates when you put coconut milk in the fridge, its very thick and creamy)
enough cacao powder for a rich chocolatey taste, i just kept adding more in
enough agave for desired sweetness
a little vanilla added if you like is nice

just play around and see what tastes good. so goooood. i'm personally not a huge fan of avocado pudding but i looove this.

By coconut milk do you mean the coconut water that you can get from young, white coconuts? Or is it something else?

I had it happen once by accident...i blended mature coconut meat and water for coconut milk and it sat for a bit before I used it and there was a nice thick, creamy sort of oily stuff on top...i guess that would be coconut cream?

yeah, well if you put it in the fridge overnight it gets really think and creamy like SAD heavy cream that you would use in desserts etc.

All asian cultures that use coconuts for food essentially do the same thing to get coconut milk & coconut cream..

They grate fresh coconut meat, put it into some type of porus / mesh bag, soak it in hot or boiling water for a period of time, & then wring or squeeze the shredded coconut to extract the fatty coconut milk..

The coconut cream is just the fattiest part of the extracted milk that rises to the top, especially after chilling in the fridge..

Most Westerners don't do this because of the amount of work that it entails..

If you want raw coconut milk or cream, it's the ONLY way that I know of to obtain it..

I don't make a lot of pies or puddings, but I will try to use coconut cream in those that I do make, as oppposed to avocados..
