I have found some Almond trees near some rail road tracks. I love going there and picking up almonds. This is great since Raw Almonds are banned now and will be until something is doneMore info this here. (httphttp://www.gopetition.com/petitions/mandatory-almond-pasteurization-is-wrong.html)
But I have noticed that some almonds have a different taste. I have not tasted the almonds but when I make the almond milk there is a strong smell. ALmost sweet that smells like a marker or nail polish remover.
Has anyone expirience this as well?
And does any one know how to check or test or whateverm if almonds (still in shells or unshelled) have gone bad or are bad?
