I've been 100% raw for about 115 days. I didn't really go through any detox except a slight headache here and there. I had my 5th colonic yesterday and today I have had a terrible headache all day! and I've been really tired! How could I have gone so long w/o detox and suddenly feel awful? Is this normal?

I also dealt with the same thing out of the blue all day today ~ super bad headache along with being tired. I have no idea where it came from either, and the darn thing was with me for about 16 hours too. :( I've heard that detox symptoms can occur anytime one's body is releasing toxins in large amounts, even weeks and months after initially going raw. Perhaps that's what's going on. Hope you feel better soon. ;)

There is a some paragraph that may explain this.
I got it from relfe.com
HEALING CRISES
People who have been involved with natural health for a long time are very familiar with the term "Healing crisis". These are negative symptoms which may manifest when the body is detoxifying. An example is the headache that many people experience when they give up drinking tea or coffee.
Sometimes things have to get worse before they get better. For example, when you spring clean the house, it looks worse before it looks better. Your body is similar in this respect. When toxins that have been stored in your body a long time start to come out, different symptoms may appear for a while, including headaches, bad skin and tiredness. Be gentle to yourself if this happens. Know that toxins are moving out of your body. Drink extra water. If the same symptoms continue after a few days, you could slow down on the herbs. This will slow down the rate of detoxification. If you are still experiencing negative symptoms after a week, it would be a good idea to see a licensed natural health practitioner. Your local health food store can likely give you information on local people.

And here is another Article on Headaches that might be of some use
Healing Headaches & Migraines
There are many causes of headaches & migraines. I have found through my own experience that a MAJOR cause of headaches, and a contributing factor towards migraines, is dehydration. The brain is over 50% water. When people tell me they have a headache I get them to drink 1-2 pints of water immediately - and often as not their headache is gone within 20 minutes!!!! (Notice that no one made any money out of that piece of information).
Another cause of headaches and migraines, according to Dr Hulda Clark, can be parasites. These can be removed with three herbs or her zapper, as described in her book ``The Cure for all Diseases".
Giving up foods that your body doesn't like often heals headaches and migraines. These are detailed in our article ``A Secret of Anti Aging".
Another cause of headaches can be negative emotions. Read about a simple form of Emotional Stress Release in our Kinesiology article. Also learn how visiting a kinesiologist that knows how to balance the ``Ileo-caecal valve" can heal headaches and migraines.
A common cause of headaches and migraines is constipation and / or dirty bowels. Most people have meat inside them that has been there since they childhood. A colon cleanse plus 3-4 colonics has been known to do the trick.
Also, be aware that headaches and migraines can be caused by negative spiritual aspects. You might like to try praying in Jesus name to remove all spirits of headache, witchcraft, and mind control. For more information visit www.hbcdelivers.org.

You have been raw longer then I have so I may get a day like you've had yet but so far I have had very little detox. I think its due to my high fiber diet. I eat lots of my foods just as they come from the garden and when I make a smoothie I almost always add some fresh ground flax seed. I think this has resulted in the toxins being escorted out of my body fast. I hope you feel better soon.
