thumbs up to this source of unpasteurized almonds

for those of you who are looking for unpasteurized almonds (probably everyone ;) ), just wanted to say i ordered 10 lb of almonds that are said to be unpasteurized from D and S ranches, and I received them quickly, within 3 days. as far as determining whether the company is honest in saying they are unpasteurized, the almonds i received seem alike to the ones i have always purchased at the co-op, which were packaged in the same way (in bulk in unsealed plastic in a cardboard box) and i assumed were unpasteurized. the almonds i just got fortunately have nothing in common with the "raw" ones i got from trader joes, which tasted sort of cooked, so my best guess would be that they are really not pasteurized, though i cant say for sure. so anyway, id say d and s ranches gets a thumbs up.

also, i think veganman that posts on this board has a farm that sells raw nuts fruits, etc, but when i went to order his farm was away at the rawspirit fest and i wanted the stuff right away ;) think that website is rawfromthefarm.com ...?

hey does anyone know if artisana's raw almond butter is still really raw? probly not, unless they found a loophole... can ANYONE still sell raw ie unpasteurized almond butter? the jar on theirs still say raw, but... i thought that was "illegal" now...??

I bought some pecans and walnuts from D & S also. They come vacuum sealed and are incredible fresh. :p
