In my house there is only a limited amount of fruits and vegetables. The only kind we usually have are bananas, apples, brocolli, cabbage, and celery. We don't have any organic because they're not sold here. Is it okay to eat the same fruits and vegetables over and over again w/ a multi-vitamin or should something else be done?
As well, does anyone just rinse it under water, cut it up, and eat it? because I hear all this special stuff about preparing foods??

I think so ,other than the monotony -as long as you are getting enough *colors* in youll be fine .However have you ever thought of just buying non-organic and getting more variety ,like now would be a good/cheap/tasty time for mangos and strawberries!
but other than the *color* thing, as long as you like what your eating and feel good I see nothing wrong with it.
*red (strawberries,tomatos,rasberries,watermelon,apples ect...);
PURPLE (VERY GOOD FOR YOU) from blueberries,dark grapes,blackberries,beets/ juice, cabbage
green - apples,leafy greens,cucumbers,green grapes ,melons
orange-oranges,carrots,cantalope,nectarines,peaches,mango s,yams and sweet potatoes
yellow/white - squash ,bananas,cauliflower,jicama, turnips,corn,rutabegas (this group isnt as important as the ones above)

VeganVixen, I think Apple-Oh is saying that they do not have organic.
A-O, I'm wondering where you live that you can only get this limited range of produce. Or ... is it an economic restraint? Or ... are you not the adult in the family so that you depend on someone else who does the buying? Because lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, and many other items of produce are available almost everywhere. Can you give us a little more information?
I'm not really sure what you mean by "does anyone just rinse it under water, cut it up, and eat it? because I hear all this special stuff about preparing foods."
When you say you "hear ... special stuff" do you mean that you don't have Alissa's book or any resources on beginning raw food recipes? If not, can you get her book ... or any book?
Do you not have lettuce so you can make salads? Do you have any of the ingredients to make raw salad dressing? What about nuts and seeds?
I'm sorry I can't help you more. I'd be able to give you suggestions if I knew more about your situation and about your level of knowledge.
To answer part of your question -- no, I don't think taking a multi-vitamin is desirable. It's not natural and is processed.

I went on an overnight trip with no equipment this weekend, I took along a knife and small cutting board, and some apples, oranges and bananas and that's what I did--I just rinsed them and cut them up and made fruit salad. It was fine, especially a salad of bananas and orange pieces. But I really missed my blender. A raw diet is a lot more fun and varied if you can do smoothies in a blender and make some things in a food processer (like banana ice cream!) But it can be done without all that fuss.
