Does frozen bagged fruit, such as strawberries and blueberries, count as raw since they are frozen? Is any nutritional value lost during the freezing/thawing process? My dh and I were talking about it and just wondering. It seems like it could be a cheap, easy way to go for smoothies.

I worked in a food packing plant and the fruit was flash frozen whatever that meant but I didn't see them get cooked. I don't think its best vitamin wise to choose frozen over fresh.

No this does not count as cooked. I use the Costco bagged frozen fruit all the time in smoothies - along with FRESH whole fruit and juice as it helps to thinken (we dont like banana).

Yes there will be a loss of some vits and minerals but as long as you get it WITHOUT added sugar go for it!:)

I agree..it's a great money saver and lasts longer than fresh.
