What about the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer?

I have one. It works Ok for me, but I have nothing to compare it to. I don't juice wheatgrass or things like that. It's easy to clean. I bought the little brush when I bought it online. That makes cleaning the screen a snap. It's not a masticating juicer though. The next time I get a juicer, I'll get one that homogenizes. I'm able to juice greens and fruit without a problem. I bought it about 1 1/2 years ago and don't use it much anymore. The parts can go in the dishwasher and I liked that when I was doing a two-week juice fast several months ago because I was able to throw them in there in the mornings when I was short on time. I think I saw on one of the shopping channels that there is an Elite model available. I don't recall the differences, except it was about $50 more as the regular price, but they were selling it for $99.

i've been doing a lot of reading on juicers in the last month and jack's rates really low on the list.

Really the only issue I have is that the juice is messy--gets everywhere when it comes out of the spout. Maybe it's just something I'm doing--don't know. Maybe they're all like that. Makes good juice, though!

Ive heard the same thing about the Lalanne juicer; supposed to be good for the occasional juicer, but the weak motor is not designed for everyday hardcore use. The warranty is not promising either.

I have Jack LaLane juicer. Its okay but it leaves too much wet pulp so I feel like I'm wasting food. I've heard that the motors will burn out if used heavily, but mine has a lifetime warrenty.

The next one I buy will be one that can do wheatgrasses too.

It was my first juicer; I think it makes a good starter juicer to be used a few times a week. I agree with the other posts...wet pulp, spits out the juice, can't handle everything. I now have a Champion Juicer and absolutely love it. It can handle greens like kale, parsley, turnip tops, however, I haven't put wheatgrass thru it. It even makes "ice cream" from frozen fruit, which is fun and entertaining.

For a standard juicer without all the other special ammenities, the Juiceman beats the Jack LaLanne by a longshot. I got a JL thinking I was upgrading, and went back to using my very old Juiceman. Still going strong after many many years, I shouldn't have tried to fix what wasn't broken! It just looks old, and wanted a newer nicer looking one, but I'm back to using my trusty Juiceman.

I saw a late night infomercial with Lalanne for a machine that looks like a Vitamix knockoff. Like a whole foods juicer blender thing, versus the juicer that separates the pulp. It was 2 hp, much like a Vitamix.

Is that one any good?

I have Jacks but I don't have anything to compare it to, but I'm sure there are better ones out there.

Thanks for the insight guys. I saw the infomercial for Jack's Power Juice Pro. It didn't look like a blender, just a centrifuge juicer. I wasn't aware that he had another product besides the juicers.

I have a JL power elite juicer and I do not like it. I hate to take it apart and clean it. It makes good almond milk and the juice is good, but like I said you have to clean the thing. I paid about 200.00 for it and I could have added a bit more money and got a champion or greenstar.

I have a greenstar which I do love and it does a good job, but I sure hate to disassemble it to clean it thoroughly! Fortunately, the veggies and fruits don't stick tightly and I am mostly able to rinse the food particles off. Then, I have all these parts drying on the counters. But it is a choice I make to have nourishing foods.

The Vitamix knockoff is a separate product. Someone on GoneRaw.com said it was good, but that's all I've heard about it.

I have one and I'm not excited about the wet pulp, either. It makes me feel like I'm wasting food.

My husband bought me one for Christmas because I was totally into the Infomercial. :D Had I known then that I'd be using a juicer like a crazy women, I probably would have done a little more research.
