coconuts!!!

young coconuts vs. regular coconuts...is one better than the other? regular coconuts are much more available in my area than young ones are, so i just want to make sure they are both relatively the same. thanks!

everybody's point of view on this will be different. For me I like the young ones better than the old ones, why:
1. to me the water/ milk in the young one is awesome tasting
2. I can scoop out the meat easily
3. they seem bigger

The only problem is that I have to drive about and hour and half to buy some of these guys, so I don't eat them that often

the older ones atleast at the stores that I get them at always tend to be rancid or dried out:eek: :mad:
So for me I like the young ones!

I have not had any luck with the older coconuts. I have only been able to find one that was not rancid. The meat was okay, but the milk was gross. There was only about a cup full too. I have had amazing results since using the YTC. There is always enough milk/water. The only variable I have found is meat thickness and firmness. I have to drive an hour to buy mine also, so I buy 7 or 8 at a time. As soon as I came home from work yesterday, I made a quick batch of chocolate pudding and now I only have one YTC.:(

the WF store near me doesn't usually have more than one or two at a time. does anyone know of a place to order them online?
