Are they worth £15 ($30) / 500g (1lb) Is that the going rate or what ??? Or is it that 500g is actally quite a lot of berries because they weigh so light?

They are but I treat them not as a food but a supplement. I eat only about a teaspoon at a time.

I have never had them. I saw them in the HFS and it was $10 for a mouthful and that disgusted me. However, having read this article above about how concentrated their nutrition is . . . . I may have to reconsider.
I am trying to believe on locally grown foods in their proper season. (To clarify above.)

I don't know where you are based but since you put down the price in pounds, I'm guessing you are in the uk. If you are, I saw goji berries in sainsburys for about 4 pounds. I'm not sure if they are raw though. But it's worth checking.

I just recieved some I ordered online. They were about 14.00 for a 8 or 10oz bag, but I think they will last a while. I love them! They have a different, but nice taste. Also they have 14% protien! I order all my stuff from the same place because I really believe in the company and person promoting the products. If it does not say raw or organic on the package I would pass.
I buy mine from amazon.com, check amazon.uk and possibly you may find a comparable price- i purchased 32oz (2 16oz packages) for under $30. If you shop around, there are great deals out there. The ones I purchased are wildcrafted and sun-dried.

Where do you order from? Do they also sell raw nuts and nut butters?

Yeah I had a good look and it seams, raw vegan they are standard £15..which is shocking
Supermarkets have a little cheaper.. but..then you cant be sure they are raw..
I am giving them a raincheck.. plenty of other "super duper" raw food thats cheaper

Just got some yesterday @ whole foods. They had a package that did
not say Organic- $8.00 the Organic ones $14.00 both 8 oz.
They were our "treat for the day" so I got one bag for each of us. I told my boys they could not open their bag till they researched them on the net. You can't really enjoy them unless you are educated in their health benefits.
taste??? we sucked on ours for a while to soften them up then chewed. I liked it. Nothing special in the tastes ... it all about the nutrition.

i bought them from allissa's site.
i don't like them one bit.
they have a lingering taste that is not pleasant.
i would suggest that before people pay the high prices to check out their taste first.
i thought berry, yummy but they have this old funky taste to them imo:rolleyes: .
the taste doesn't bother my husband
i put them in a trail mix for him
or i rehydrate them and mix them with agave and strawberries.

i love goji's been eating them since the day i started raw back in feb/march and have them everyday! even my cooked parents love them! try ebay -search "goji", and Funky Raw sell them for £15/kilo, they're not organic like Shazzie's but they're wildcrafted (pesticide free??) and are the ones I eat. It would be best to do as I did and maybe buy a small bag first because I was surprised by a survey where the majority of people who tried them actually hated them! but raw people seem to love them, i find them moreish and addictive and have aboout 25g/day.

I didn't like gogi berries when I first tasted them. They were hard and tasted "dusty" to me. I decided to eat the small amount I had boughten anyways (money issue) and found I really like them. I've read wonderful things about them including they are part of list of best foods for problem skin. Now, I want them but have been to the store twice and they've been out. ;)

I dont really like them dry as they come out of the packet but find them yummy if i soak them in fresh juice for a few hours. I get organic ones but not specifically raw ones...cost is an issue for me too but reckon as they are a superfood even organic ones will be worth eating

Does anyone know of fresh, pesticide-free goji berries sold in the U.S.? I was gonna try Whole Foods, but no way I want to pay $14 for .5 lb
Has anyone tried Wilderness Family Naturals variety? I buy coconut oil from them, seems like a good company.
