I've had a 25 pound bag of carrots in the fridge for about 2 or 3 months. Some are sprouting and a few are a little molded..are they still good when they are sprouting? do I juice the sprouts too? and just cut off the mold or throw them away? thanks! Kimberle

Personally, if they are molding and you've had them for a few months, I'd say the life force has pretty much been depleted. I would toss them.
Anyone else?

Agreed. But I do so hate to waste food. Maybe you could shred the good bits, mix them in with some blended sprouted buckwheat groats and some soaked flaxseeds, toss in a few herbs and dehydrate. Viola! Buckwheat bread!

They say that the life force in produce starts to dicipate within 15 minutes of harvest, I personally won't eat anything that I've had for longer than one week, if I but it in a store, I eat it the day I buy it.
I wouldn't try eating those especially that old, and with mold?
You could certainly plant them and let them grow into new plants.
