Who is your little Raw Food Angel?

O.k. well, she was about 5'10 and in heels 6'2 (like me) so not so little, but packed with a raw food punch! Although I started this journey on 8/7/07 with all raw meals I've become keenly aware of a 'processed sugar' addiction (in between my raw) which I am now addressing because of raw. It is day 3 for me with NO PROCESSED SUGAR. An absolute miracle! I can't believe I'm 3days no chocolate, no processed sugar. I am seriously detoxing ie: mood swings, irritability, fatigue, depression (researched all this online it's scary). Here is where my little angel flew in: Yesterday while surrounded by chocolates, cookies, ice cream a new girl shows up with her container of ALL RAW FOOD! Just when I was about to pass out, had to take a class, she generously shares all of her raw treats with me. Shows me how to package them, tells me how to make them, where to get them online. I tell her it's day 2 no processed sugar and that was exactly what I needed. Well, it's day 3 and I drove as fast as I could tonite to WholeFoods to get my new treats, my agave, and of course greens. She recently met up with a raw food chef and now I will be getting all of their delicious recipes. It is the universe confiming (once again) that I am on the right path. I would love to hear stories about your RFA!

Trinity,can u befriend any of the staff at your health food store where u buy raw, inquire if anyone there eats raw or is interested in it?

I have made friends with the produce manager at one of the stores I use. I guess she's my raw food angel! And also at our local organic food store, the cashier actually lent me her new copy of Alissa's book. (Thankyou Lindsey! My second raw angel tho she doesn't do 100% raw.) Also, if I see 'signs' of people I run into out in the world who are interested in health, I ask them have they heard of the burgeoning raw lifestyle out there?

I spoke to a fiftyish graying woman on the bus--- she was riding her bike!!! (first clue) before she got on, and THEN she took out a book and since I'm a book lover I politely asked what she was reading. "Health for a New Age" or something like that... With those two big clues, I popped my question and voila initiated a convo about raw. Who knows. We may be raw friends at a future date. If not, perhaps I've planted a seed....

Hi there, I met my Raw Food Angel today...a wonderful, generous, glowing, vibrant raw food teacher/coach who gave me the gift of today's class. I am so much more confident about being 100% raw after being shown how tasty, yet simple to make Alissa's recipes really are. I have come home armed with the book & dvd. I have cancelled my plans to meet friends tomorrow cos im going to be staying at home watching the dvd, getting inspired, running to the store & messing up my kitchen LOL

Life really opens up for you when you make the conscious choice to live, really live and follow your dreams, your heart.

I've been living in a cave for some years, unhappy with things around me, not wanting to be here, not knowing how to get out. I'd say "when my life as I want it to be finally begins (when this and that happens which never really did) I will take my health into my own hands, I will eat raw, exercise and be creative and happy." - Well, things really weren't changing at all. Then I though screw it, I will make those changes here now regardless, and when the time to move out comes then I'll already be a changed person.

So I went grocery shopping for fresh produce. Then I started doing some exercise at home and being more creative.

Now things are starting to really change for me, in fact they are moving a bit faster than I had imagined. Doors I didn't see began to open, people, places, opportunities. I don't think any of these new opportunities would have come had I not made the conscious effort to just start living the life I wanted regardless of how hopeless everything around me seemed.

And the more I choose to live, the more the universe conspires in my benefit! It's those little things that show you, you are on the right path and you will be supported through it.

True change happens from the inside out. :) Congratulations on your healthier and better life!
