I have a cheapo dehydrator that I haven't used yet because the recipes that interest me call for Teflex sheets and assume you have the Excalibur. What can I use in a non-Excalibur machine that would work the same?
Of course, you could use teflex... Or some ordinary baking paper.

I use parchment paper and it works like a charm.

I use parchment too since I only have one texflex sheet. I have found that stuff seems to actually dry faster on the parchment.

You can buy "rubber" mats from your super store and they cost like 9.99 a mat and they are square too but I am sure you could cut them to the size you need.. they are freeze free, Heat resistant over 300* and a dehydrator never gets that hot!
The mats are 8X10 roughly.
