I've been trying to be 100 % raw for several months now but find that being 80, 90 % raw is working ok for me now. My big problem is that i keep getting tired of the taste of food. Before trying raw i would eat pretty much the same things everyday ( pinneaple, cottage cheese, pita bread, salads, yogurt) and not ever get tired of them. But since attempting raw i get obssesed with somethings and then ughh.

First it was avocados, it was all i could think of and would eat them all day, then got tired of them and started a dried apricot addiction until one day the thought of them would make me feel sick, then it was the marinara spaguetti recipe, now i can't even stand the smell, then the "refried beans" recipe and now I'm getting sick of green smoothies. My only love now is pinneaple and i really hope i don't get tired of them. I really don't know what to do as i've always been a very simple eater and i don't like complicating myself too much in the preparation of foods.

any thoughts ?

Switch it up... There is a WORLD of things a raw food eater can consume... Get creative!!!! :D

at one point i realized i couldn't taste things- i mean i didn't enjoy ANYTHING! :( it was going on for about 5 days.. i would eat WHATEVER tasted well (at some point all i could eat was dried figs) but then suddenly i started craving other things- like avocado salads. It also couldn't stand GSs..but today i made one and love it! :p

I'd say just eat whatever you feel like.. maybe your body is asking for some specific nutrients? I hope your taste for other foods will come back soon as well! That's what happened to me at least :)

I have a bit of a thing for plums at the moment :o I feel sure that will pass and something else will take over and then I hope eventually that everything will balance out as I become more in tune with what my body is really asking for!

I've had that happen, especially in the beginning. My body directed what I ate, when and how much...which is good of course:O)
Sometimes I just crave seaweed and sit down with raw nori until I've had my fill. Other times I've craved just pineapple or just mangoes etc. Nothing else would do, in fact if I tried to eat anything besides what I craved, it would make me ill just to think about it.
Good luck! Just ride it out, it gets easier:p

I know what you mean. Last year I was eating cranberries like mad, but I feared the end of the season would come soon. So I dried a bunch. And then I didn't want them.

I'd been buying expensive little bags of candied walnuts from the health food store. So I got the ingredients to make them. Made a huge batch and then didn't want them. They're still sitting in my fridge.

I had to put a stop to buying much in the way of produce at the store. I would go wild buying stuff that looked good and then throw it out later because I didn't want to eat it.

Now I try to make do with my organic produce box, buying additional things only if I need them for a recipe or have run out.
