uggh lately i find that i'm reacting not so well to fruit and anything else carb rich like grains, and other starchy things. on days i eat a lot of these things, i get bloated, constipated, my dark circles under my eyes look a lot worse, my face gets puffy and red, i break out, etc. i was doing some research on my symptoms and some of them line up with candida. i'm not totally sure what candida is so does anyone here have it and what are your symptoms, etc?

I just got rid of it. According to most experts of Candida, it is nourished by fat, not sugar. I found this to be true in my case. I laid off the fat for a while and the Candida disappeared. I eat fruit daily and it has not returned so that answers the question for me.

Sorry, I don't have an explanation for this reaction but I too have a problem eating fruits. I have to be very careful. I have the bloating & nausea & other issues arise. Not sure why this happens but I know what you mean. As a matter of fact today I ate a mango which I thought I was ok with. I normally make it into a smoothie with a banana. I don't use the whole fruit & that's fine, but today I decided to cut it up & eat it by itself & it really bothered me.

i find that fruit works very well for me when i am very active. otherwise, my body prefers veggies as it needs less calories (i assume)

Not sure if this is relevant but fruits tend to bring on detox quicker where as the fats slow it down.
I recently listened to an interview by David Wolfe where he talked about having a good amount of minerals in the body whilst going through detox. I think because during the cleansing process the body uses up minerals and most likely other nutrients. This could be why you are experiencing the dark circle under the eye effect. Also, under the eyes is the kidney area, so maybe the fruit is cleansing your kidneys?
The best minerals are in leafy greens, veggies and sea vegetables. After hearing that, I've made more of an effort to include the greens especially nori. I've also starting doing some kale and celery juice daily.
Hope this helps,
