Hi,
I was wondering if anyone puts lemon in the GS? They're becoming too sweet for me these days and I'm looking for a more sour taste. I guess I could just do it and see how it tastes, but I want to see if anyone else does this and how much lemon you might use.
Thanks and Happy Raw Day,
Solar

I do. Sometimes I'll add juice of 1/4 to 1/2 a lemon and other times I'll add a wedge (no peel)...not too much, but enough to cut some of the sweetness on those days when they're a little too sweet for me. It's good. My favorite combo is banana-parsley-pineapple-lemon.

I like to add a clove or two of fresh raw garlic to my smoothies for an interesting taste treat. :)

Cool. I'll try that.
Clove of garlic? That's an interesting combo. I don't think my massage clients would like me very much if I eat Garlic. I'll have to save that for vacation time : )

I think that the chlorophyl in the green drink makes the smell of garlic go away. You can try it on a weekend and ask people. I've put three cloves in a smoothie and no one mentioned garlic breath on me.

Thanks Mr GreenJeans- I'll try it. What about juicing greens with garlic?

I like to squeeze a few oranges into it...I have never tried lemon - sounds like it would be a little too strong for my taste. In fact, I am currently drinking a GS with red lettuce as my "green"...and I mean a TON of it with 2 bananas, the juice of 3 oranges and a few frozen peach wedges, and a bunch of water as well. Its yummy...relatively speaking of course. :)
