I am not a doctor, nor do I have but a very rough and inaccurate idea of how the human body works, but I suspect that as you continue raw - the dose that you have may become too strong for you.

It is true that many herbs and medicines do not combine well. The only on-line list that I have seen is, I believe, on Newstarget.com. I am sure that there are others. However, I am not aware of anyone having problems with their medications due to raw. Most people are able to get off of them.

You have not shared what the condition or medication is but I do know what it is to have to take medicine every day to stay alive. I had given up on praying for mine but I did receive a miraculous healing from God one day when I was home alone. I will never forget it! The doctors had told me I would die the same day I forgot to take the medicine. I am now free. Just a few days ago I met a woman whose sister died of the same condition which was a reminder to me of how blessed I am.

There are medical people who visit this forum so if you dare take the risk you may get more valid feedback than mine.

Worry is a sin because it harms you physically.

Blood thinners like Coumadin (warfarin is the generic name) are affected by greens because they are high in vitamin K which naturally thins the blood. If you have a good doc and you are consistently eating the same amount of greens per day, he/she should be able to adjust your dose accordingly.

Other than that, I don't know of any food interactions with meds. There is actually an herbal PDR that covers some of the foods we eat since a lot of them have medicinal purposes (garlic, parsley, ginger etc) . It will tell you whether certain foods or herbs interract with certain meds.

Suggestion:

Make YOUR decisions....and do SOMETHING towards them every day....even if your decision was to go to the moon.....take ONE step closer to joining NASA! LOL.

-What I mean is: Tackle the major stuff first. Give yourself a minimum of 6-12 months to approach your realistic raw goals.....without drastically trying to change your lifestyle or medications. Opinion: the above posts are correct. Eating raw should not affect your medication....other than to make you more sensitive to it as time goes on. In the mean time....discuss with your own health care professional the possibility of lessening doses or going off the medication over time....if you so desire. It is YOUR life....and you have to / can live passionately....and accept the consequences.

-Would I stop eating raw if I found out my head was going to explode? Ha! ha! Probably not.......as it is my passion and my pleasure.

-You do not fight fear.....but totally absorb it and supersede it by living an abundantly joyful life.....and then fear can simply be accepted as part of the process.

-I hope some of this helps.

Hi I reckon its best to talk to the person who prescribes your meds about this but just wanted to send you a hug.
How about taking this journey real slowly one day at a time?
Your other posts seem like you are putting yourself under alot of pressure to go 100% raw straight away & your detox seems very strong very quickly. Could it benefit you to stay high raw but not 100% to slow your detox while you get a full medical check up & seek advice about your meds?
You can always do the November challenge instead of October.

This might not be bad advise seeing as your detox is so intense. I know for most people it is probably easier to "get it over with" as Alissa says in her book... but maybe for you that just won't work. Listen to your body!!:)

So, what you're asking is if the food nature created to feed us ~ fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds will affect the drugs you are taking?

This should be taken up with the person who prescribed the drugs.

Nope, at least not in my case, and believe me, I was on plenty of them (ie ace inhibitors, channel blockers, diuretics, potassium, leukotriene inhibitors, anti-inflammatory steriodal inhalers, iratropium bromides, and so on and on...) I have been able to eliminate a lot of them, and still working on getting off and/or at least reducting the dosages with the help of my own doctor/s. Wishing you much healing success on your raw journey ~ Cathy
