I'm craving like a raspberry jello type of dish - what's something I could add to raspberries in my blender that when refridgerated would have that type of texture? I know flaxseed gets pretty gelitinous (sp?!). Anything else?
I'm also thinking of making something like this to use as a topping to a almond pie crust.

Well, I know that blueberries somehow form a gelatin- when you make Alissa's blueberry pie it does that with no added anything to make it do that. Maybe blending in some blueberries with it (?)
There is also agar-agar and I've heard you can dissolve it or whatever with hot water (it normally says to use with boiling water).

I think there is an agar agar recipe somewere here it is http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2832&highlight=jello ..btw its a clear seaweed that has to be boiled -but you can cool it down and add in the fruit later......also you might try a physsilium husk dish which dosnt need to be boiled

Great to know!!! I'm going to have to try some agar-agar. Sounds neat! I think today I'll just use blueberries to see how that works!! I started salivating when I read "blueberry" so that should work well with my raspberry craving!!! LOL!!!

I make cashew cream alot, and all it is is cashews soaked, mixted with water, and anything else you like such as vanilla, dates etc. anyway, when you make it it is kind of like a pudding or sour cream consistancy, then when you let it cool in the fridge, it gets really thick and solid.
I don't know if this will help, but I make pudding out of it with berries all the time. If you like cashews you might try it.
