I've not seen the videos yet, but have been flipping thru the book a bit. I must say I was expecting way more pictures of the foods in the recipe section. I need a visual of what the stuff is supposed to look like! #1, to entice me to try it and #2, to show me what it's supposed to look like when made and #3, to entice my kids to try it!!! I must say I'm a bit bummed to see so few pictures. I am looking forward to watching the DVDs to get some of the visual I need.

Oh yeah, you'll get a LOT of visual with the DVD (glad you got them both!) and the DVD is a great accompaniment to the book!

But keep in mind that because the book is glossy and in full color it probably would have been a lot more expensive, not only for Alissa to get printed but also for US, as the consumers, had she added in a lot more pictures. But I think it's all good as I've seen some raw recipe books that have no pictures whatsoever.

He even handed me a pad of paper and told me to take notes on which recipes he wanted me to try! Because of that DVD... my husband completely supports my choice to embrace the raw lifestyle!! now a blessing like that... ;) what an amazing gift!!

To me the book & DVD's are symbiotic. They totally complete each other. When I need not to be interupted buy the kids I put on one of my raw food DVD's and Alissa is always my daughters favorite!

I too am a visual person but do not fret just dive on in and enjoy the amazing information she has for you :). When I first got it I took it into the bath for a good long read - then dropped it into the tub! I told Alissa about it and she had a good laugh!:p

Enjoy!

I do love eye candy too... I just started taking pics of my food as I make it... Have you looked in the photo thread? A lot of the recipes have been created by folks on the forum, so you could check some out there! :)

Ok, so I must say, I just finished watching most of the 3 hours of video. Whew! I'm feeling better about things now. And as usual, I was over complicating things! Thanks for everyones comments and encouragement.
