I did it! I made my first smoothie! :D Strawberry goodness at hand!

Well first I needed a food processor, and being in the thrifty-second-hand personality type I checked out Value Village first. Found a great little rotary food processor that had everything; the tri-blade attachment, a whipping attachment for creams and whisking, and a salad spinner. What it didn't have was the handle for turning the blade. O_o But there was another one that had only the canister, and handle and top and it was even cheaper, so I bought both and made one complate chopper that works VERY well, and all for under $5. I made a strawberry smoothie with it, and I like my juices and such pulpy. Only had strawberries, but once I have lots of fruit in my fridge making multiple-fruit smoothies should be easy.

I also chopped celery with it. Worked very good, didn't puree it like it did the strawberry though. I think celery is too -stiff- t o make a proper puree. Might try it with some liquid ingredient and see how that works. I do like cream of celery soup so maybe I can make a gaspacho.

I'm so happy! I also got a cute watermelon spreader set, little watermelon slices, with a large watermelon 'holder', very cute.

And last but not least I found an old fashioned cookie dough press, 'dial a shape' kind, with lots of interesting designs. I wonder what sort of vegan/raw desserts and things I can make with it? It also came with a decorative icing set. Can anybody here say raw vegan chocolate cake with icing rosettes? ;) Mmm. Wonder how well that would work.

All and all a great day, tomorrow I'm going the grocery shopping. (Today I'm so tired!) We'll see what I can cook up. ;)
