I own very few "gadgets"..
I am happy to have a pretty strong blender and a food processor that chops fairly well.
I was thinking of what else to add to the mix for my NEW kitchen!!
WHat do you all use spiral slicers for (what veggies?) and how often?
Do you use them lots?
I know I probably need a dehydrator and what else????
ANy ideas?

I bought mine from Alissa's site recently...and though I'm not much of a gadget person in the kitchen, I do LOVE this thing! It's easy to use and easy to clean. I use it primarily for golden beets. Before this would not have thought a beet could be eaten raw, but it CAN! And tastes wonderful. There's many uses...and I can't wait to try more. :D

I have a spiral slicer and I use it to make Angel Hair Pasta out of either zucchini or yams and I also use it to slice things paper thin for chips (sweet potato chips) or the casings for rawvioli. I don't use mine VERY often (moreso during my classes) because there are other things that are more so "staples" in our home...but I do like having it around!

I use my saladacco for zucchini and turnips for "pasta" and my mandolin for chips and rawvioli "pasta"

oh, I should add that we DO use the saladacco A LOT. We use it 1-2x a day in the summer. Dh and I LOVE zucchini in the saladaco with olive oil, nutritional yeast, and sea salt. We eat it for lunch and supper when zukes are in season. It's also great with AC's marawnara on it.
