I went to a local Farmers Market yesterday where there were several booths selling Raw foods! One booth was a lady selling a Raw Garlic paste with about 8 different types. She had a commercial package and everything. The second booth was Raw pies, 2 Raw pizzas and Young Coconuts that they open for you to drink the water and eat the meat. The next lady had Raw chocolate treats and she was selling maca, raw cacao, and Yucon syrup. It was Rawsome! They were among other venders selling grilled meats and such. It was really cool to have a choice and it showed me just how much the Raw word is spreading. I'm in San Diego so this isn't too shocking. Maybe this will inspire those of you living in Remote areas to show your foods at local markets and fairs. :D

Solarliving,

You are sooooo lucky!! I love the variety of fresh foods our markets have to offer but raw honey is the only thing I have seen sold at any of them so far :o

Hey you have the opportunity to introduce them to it then. Maybe you should set up on your own booth.

..where is this farmers market in San Diego? My daughter lives there and I'm sure she would like to check it out. She recently changed to vegetarian, and she loves raw. Just isn't there yet. Might inspire her!!:)

Hi Denise- There are several, but the one I went to was in North Park at the DMV. There's one every Sunday 9-1. There is also one in Ocean Beach on Wednesday's but I've never seen Raw foods there. You can also tell her about the Raw food meet-up group that meets the 2nd Saturday of every month. I'm sure there is a vegetarian one also. www.meetup.com
