On a whim, I made this sushi recipe from the sadtoraw site, courtesy of Alex the rawguru:

http://www.fromsadtoraw.com/Recipes/RawSushi.htm

All I can say is "OHMYGOD!" I actually made a raw dish that tasted as good as the real thing. It was the first time I'd ever made sushi, much less raw sushi, and it was incredible. Prep time wasn't that bad either, 30 minutes. My kid -- who is a sushi addict -- gobbled them up. I halved the recipe and it was enuf for 15 bite-sized pieces. All I can say is try this -- it will more than satisfy your sushi cravings!

you should also try using white "meated" sweet yams (as well as cauli) as the rice -it comes out looking like whole grain rice ......hmmm reminds me of a recipe that I need to post!

your right I had to add vinegar and shoyu to get rid of the "mealy?" flavor

I world def. try the yams (add some vinegar for "edge")-but the taste is good and doesnt need to be hidden like cauli! ..imo
