Has anyone tried the just like chocolate recipe? I found it when I ordered the coconut oil. I followed the recipe and I could not get all of the ingredients to mix. Did anyone have this problem? It tasted great, but it just wouldn't mix so I could not freeze it. Does anyone have any hints to make it better? Thanks.

I found on Alissa Cohens Raw Food Diet. Click on STORE and then FOOD and then Virgin Oil De Coco-Crème. Its on that page. If you have a problem, email me and I will email it to you. If you make it, it would be nice to know if the recipe worked for you. Carol. Verbayna@aol.com

I actually just used that recipe in making my b-day cake - Bannoffee tart. I think the trick is to use it in a recipe - I mixed it with avocado.

I used nutiva coconut oil and melted it (I put it in a bowl, put the bowl over a pot of hot water and stirred until it melted), Next added the cocoa and agave, it never really hardened at all. Might have been good for molds, but I used in in a recipe.

It came super fudgey..really good, but I noticed while I was making the other parts to the recipe my chocolate was not hardening! the finished result was excellent though after adding it to avocado - that alone was great ,then I assembled the rest of the tart and put it in the freezer ~ fyi my non raw family raved about the "chocolate" part of the tart (which they didn't know was raw!)

Thanks for the suggestion. The chocolate didn't harden. All the ingredients did not totally mix. All the carob powder mixed and it tasted great, but it was very thick and there was still a lot of liquid, probably the coconut oil that just wouldn't mix with it. I don't know what I did wrong. But I know if the recipe worked, it would have tasted great. Any one else have any tips?
