I am trying to prepare to be 90% raw (will have cooked beans) in October. However for the first 2 days I want to do a liquid fast (not feast) of herbal laxative tea, and organic bottled (not raw though) lemon and ginger juice with echinacea and coconut-pineapple juice with Acai. I bought the juices, because I am in need of getting a new mid-week.

I am starting to take pro-biotics with acidophilus (get rid of body yeast and other digestive flora) and wormwood combination (kill worms and other parasites in the digestive track).

So Sunday, Monday and maybe Tuesday will be the liquid fasting days.

I know I will be having detox symptoms like a mother, especially from me not consuming high amounts of sugars. However, I don't believe it was really discussed on how to not suffer from detoxing so badly.

What can I do in order to make this as comfortable as possible so I won't feel like I would want to give up in order to eat something SAD in efforts of avoiding physical discomfort?

OH, man. That doesn't sound encouraging. Or maybe drinking water helps to fight the detox symptoms. If not, I guess you are saying that I am on my own feeling sick or cranky and there is nothing I can do about it.

shucks. Well thank god on day 1 I am not feeling bad. I am just worried about day 2 and 3. Possibly 4.

While controversial for some...enemas helped me immensely! Even if not those, just making sure that your bowels are staying clean and moving well. Lots of fiber (through eating fiber-rich diet, which in essence is the raw diet but of course some things are moreso like apples, greens (green smoothies), flax, etc. and you may want to research some colon cleansing herbs.

And yes, plenty of water to help flush out as well.
