Hi,
Gelson's sells these fresh juices that are Cold Pressed (Flash Pasterized) are these O.K? They are pure juice no additives.
Thanks

Pasteurized, means that it is heated to a certain temperature. As far as "flash" pasteurization goes, it is your call. It is still heated to a certain temp to kill unfriendly bacteria.
Blessings.

Which means it also kills friendly bacteria and nutrients.

thanks for the info, but I am still a little confused. These juices are also Cold Pressed the same as fresh Olive Oil etc. I think that I will call Gelson's.
Thanks

I just spoke with Juice Harvest, they supply the juices to Gelsons. So out goes the Watermelon and Apple juice that I purchased. But, the Orange and Grapefruit are not pasteurized so Yippe for those. I was looking for juices that I could keep in my mini fridge in my office. I drink a cup of fresh juice every morning from my juicer. Does any one know just how long Fresh Carrot and Apple Juices last. I would like to be able to make at least 32 oz the night before to take with me to work.
Thanks

It depends on the machine you use.
When I used to use my centrifugal juicer, the juice would turn very quickly with the hour, now that I use a Champion I can leave it in the fridge all day.
So, I would simply try it, then decide.
When juices turn dark, they are oxidizing, that is why bananas and apples turn dark without lemon juice in them, they react to the oxygen in the air, which isn't good.
Citrus juices last the longest, probably the citric acid, so you could use a mixture, or pure orange juice.
Hope this helps.

Try Orchid Island Fresh Squeezed Juice (NOT pasteurized) Orange and Grapefruit. A little pricey, but worth every lucious drop! I freeze half the container for later. :) I think there's a link here to find a retailer in your zip:
