Yes, I do. When I am raw for some time maybe I won't but for now I choose to take them. I take a vegan B Complex and I feel much better since I am taking it. I also take CoQ10, Sun Chlorella and a valarian tincture at night sometimes. White Willow Bark for a chronic back condition for the pain.

I take Bcomplex /B12 supplement along with Biotin. I do not take a multivitamin as I am highly allergic to vitamin E and A and most multivitamins contain those two in high doses. (as least the mulitvitamins I've seen!)
Since taking the bcomplex - my emotions are much calmer and I dont get irritated ... well - except for with my boss - but that's a whoole 'nuter thread!! ;) lol!!

I don't know how raw they are but Dr Gabriel Cousens, whose article is posted in the Need to Know More About Raw section of this site, concedes that raw vegans should be taking a B-12 supplement. However, if you read all the information contained in that section you will learn that many non-raw people also get the B-12 deficiency so really, it still is a mystery in some ways.
Personally I am severely vitamin deficient but I am not 100% due to serious illness preventing me from being able - but in my case my illness is long-term and is what caused me to seek out raw. I find it amazing that doctors will spend many thousands of dollars on in-hospital testing before they will do some simple bloodwork to test for a single vitamin that is indicated by the symptoms.
My question for those here who do supplement is what product do you choose to supplement with?
I have heard and read that most of your material for vitamins now comes from China, has questionable safety and is not bio-available. I want to supplement but find the search overwhelming. Also there is so much hype that I need help getting past. A few years ago "coral calcium" supplements were the thing. I could not understand how that could be PC with the known decline in population of coral reefs. Also, since the one marketed to me bragged about being harvested off the pristine coast of Japan, I always wondered how pristine it could truly be since Hiroshima, Nagasaki and extreme overdevelopment and runoff.
rivergirl, this is no indictment of the raw food lifestyle since I came to it damaged as many of us have. In my case my stomach is severely damaged and that impedes absorption of nutrients.
