I am so tired today, I think I slept well last night. I dont have time to be tired! I have to work!

Anyway, what can help perk me up for a few hours, I am about to go make some coffee but havent had any for nearly 2 weeks now.

I had a green smoothie for brkfst, 2 bananas, bunch of red kale, flax oil, cocoa nibs, little bit of honey
Had a salad for lunch, romaine, celery, tomato, avocado, walnuts, w/ a garlic, ginger, balsamic, evoo drsg.
And some water.

I am really having a hard time functioning right now. My whole body feels 'heavy'.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Well, if you're like some, a raw choc. treat might perk you right up. That could be as simple as mixing up some cacao nibs with agave. Or, if not, I know I get a LOT of energy out of my green smoothies. This may be part of your detox, and if that is so, and then you make coffee, you'd just have to detox THAT again later. Don't know about you, but that's not my idea of a good time. HTH!:D

I've sure been there. Motivate yourself to stay off of coffee and go read the book Caffeine Blues. You're still detoxing from coffee. According to the book, it takes a whole month for the body to get back to normal after kicking caffeine, so expect some ups and downs.

I'm glad you're doing the green smoothies. I do a lot myself. But when I need quick energy I do a green lemonade and it really does the trick. Are you familiar with those?

- one to three apples
- a lemon, if organic, peel and all, if not, squeeze juice in
- greens: kale/spinach/collards/cilantro/parsley/romaine/chard etc.

- could also include half a cucumber, a couple stalks of celery, a piece of ginger, lettuce.

If it wasn't for green lemonade, I wouldn't have the energy to clean houses for a living.

Try deep breathing some fresh air, the oxygen will wake you up and energize you. Incorporating some exercise with the deep breathing is like super charging your body. Give it a try and see for yourself. :)

Are the fruits/veggies juiced or blended?

I have the Cacao nibs mixed with a ripe banana.... It's so yummie AND it gives me nice burst of energy to get me through a low time. When I first tried It I thought it was a buzzz like from coffee, but the responses I got said it's not, just energy!

I juice it when I need more energy. I do green smoothies when I'm feeling stronger. I was surprized to hear a couple of other rawbies say they follow this kind of method too. For some reason, it works for my constitution.

Definately try to stay off the coffee. I got to the stage of drinking 4 litres of cola a day and now even the smallest amount would make me shake and get panic attacks.

If you aren't really hungry and you are able to then I recommend a brisk walk; even ten minutes can really perk you up :)

Well I drank some more water, and sat down for about an hour. I got to thinking that I only had about 5 1/2 hrs sleep last night, I forgot I went to bed late, lol.
I made a snack w/cocoa nibs, raw honey, almond butter, and coconut oil, then mixed some walnuts into it, I hope it helps. If not I will just take a nap when I get my work finished.
Thank you all for the suggestions. I guess it has been a long week and I think I am just worn out at this point.
I cant wait until I get the energy that raw will provide. I am wondering if I am so full of garbage from 20+years of dieting that my poor body is going to take a long time to heal. The first week I actually felt pretty good, but the last 2 weeks not so much. I did eat 2 cinamon rolls (not raw obviously) a few days ago, and oh my gosh was I sick. I really do not ever want to feel that way again! I think if I do eat SAD food, and I will occasionally, it will not be a sugary bread item. I kinda gagged getting thru the first one but of course that did not stop me from eating the second...doh!

Salt water is helping me. I learned it from the www.watercure2.com site. 1/8 teasp seasalt to 2 cups water. Before that I used green drinks. The salt water is easier for me to prepare.
