Is anyone having meals of green smoothies and one of Alissa's powders and some oils only and NO solid food throughout the day?
I think it would be a nice little break from preparing 'meals'. Just rinse the fruits/veggies and throw them in the Vita-mix. Have the blender clean itself, rinse it, and I'm done! I need a break from salads, eating whole fruits, dehydrated food, doing all the dishes resulting from the preparation, etc.
I'm thinking of having just green smoothies, plus Alissa's hemp seed protein powder, and some oils with no solid foods at all. I think this would be just as or even more nutritious than what I've been doing and MUCH simpler. :)

CR - I've practically lived on JUST green smoothies (w/Alissa's powder) this summer. Fruits for lunch and dinner or corn on the cob or tomatoes, etc. Whatever fresh is available and ready for the biting. It's fine to "live" on that. You'll know when your body needs more solids. I usually have some crackers in the freezer for those days when I'm really hungry. I do get really hungry some days, but most days no. My thick, big green smoothies "does" me for the day...

Ok. That sounds good! I'm planning to make a big batch of alissa's burger buns as regular flat bread tonight and freeze them. I'm not sure how it will freeze, but I'll perhaps put in 2 'slices' per freezer bag. That way, if I want a 'sandwich' or something, I can get that without having to wait to soak/sprout/dehydrate. I also have a big hunk of Alissa's calzone recipe frozen. Now that I think about it, I wonder if I should've sliced that first? :o
I may make some onion bread too, now that you mentioned crackers.
Thanks for the response! :)

Caliraw, that is completely possible to do what you wish to. I didn't even realise that I wasn't eating any solids for about a week. I was just on juices/smoothies with Alissa's powders.
If that is what your body is telling you to do then go for it!!
Mystic Tree, Alissa's powder is available only through her shop I believe. I don't know how to explain the taste. There is a tinge of sweetness about it and is quite mild in flavour. I think Lucy could explain better:D

Thanks Little Mango! I'm all stocked up and ready to go tomorrow.
Mystic Tree, I don't know what the green powder tastes like, but the hemp seed powder tastes milder than I thought it would. It's very finely ground and not too gritty like some other powders on the market. I would definitely blend it well with something fruity though. I don't know where to get it other than the website, which is where I purchased mine.

I am not VFL but I do know that bananas, avocados and coconut oil help fill you up in the smoothies.

Yes, it's a mild, mild tasting green food powder. Trust me. I've tasted some pretty strong ones. Actually I use three other pretty strong ones - spirulina, tastes like a mouth full of ocean (which is good to me), and dulse and kelp, both taste like an ocean too...but I love that taste. I love the green taste. I always have...I would suggest before going "hard core" and adding a ton of extra powders, make your smoothies taste good. Pineapple is a good fruit that will help disguise a stronger flavor.
Not only will avos, coconut oil, nuts, etc. fill one up, but a bigger serving of green smoothies. If you're not full, make another one. It's okay. Really.

Does anyone add sea lettuce? It grows in abundance around here and I collect it regularly through the summer. I'm just wondering how well it would blitz in the blender as it is so thin and slippery!!!
