Hello, i was hoping after going on 100% raw food that it would help with my hair lost. I still lose tone of hair daily and i have been 100% on raw food diet.
Any idea on how i can find the source of this problem?
Thank you for your time!

I had some scary hair loss a year or two ago. I went to my doctor and got some test done and they came out fine. I think they were checking for a slow thyroid, I forget now. But, the cause was stress. My husband's job was shutting down and he was going to be out of a job. My doctor said that the stress I am feeling now was not the cause; It is the stress I had six months before causing the hair loss. Then I found myself stressing the hair loss! It's a wonder I had any hair at all! I don't even think about it now.

Stress could be a factor. I had this problem since the early 90's but when i got pregant, it stopped. To my sadness, it started again after i gave birth and never stopped since. I am taking supplement and everything but no apparent improvement. I got other hair growing but i am a little concern of the real cause fo this.
Thank you for your time!

I think stress is a big part. I recomend, besides addressing the stress and working through it, a diet rich in minerals and sea veggies. MSM would be great, high sulphur and high silica foods as well.

RawAngelMom.... try taking Bcomplex and B12 supplements - add biotin to that. When my dad went thru chemo - he lost all his hair. The doctor put him on biotin and his hair grew back thick and beautiful. It is very strenghtening to your hair and nails. (also - biotin needs bcomplex and b12 to work to its maximum benefits.) I started taking this combination and it has really been helping me! I take 1000 mcg's of biotin twice a day. good luck and keep us posted!

Yeah, after reading Victoria Boutenko, I was considering how some people have really low stomach acid, which means they're not digesting nutrient-rich food and need to take HCL supplements, and doing that relieved a lot of health problems. Anyone have experience with that?

I did...the HCL helps, but you have to watch not to overdo it on 100% raw. I drink kombucha now with heavier raw meals to help my digestion & it is wonderful (I brew my own).
As for hair, was it falling out with juicy roots, breaking off, or did the roots look like almost nothing? If it is the latter, it is called telogen effluvium, and it will take around 3-6 months to see a difference. The hair is falling out from something which occurred months before. This happened to me when I was 17; I still get it every fall, but very mild (I have learned to ignore it). For breakage, again, all you can do is trim your hair and wait it out. For alopecia, if it is that, there are programs you can follow. I have info in my books, let me know if you want me type it up for you.
Good luck!
