I've seen vegetarian and vegan alternatives but no raw ones. Anybody got a recipe they'd like to share? Anything that does not involved Onions would be great since I'm allergic.

Poutine is made of fries topped with cheese and gravy.. Its so bad for you. I have never heard of a raw alternative. :D

Its a quebec dish of fried potato wedges with cheese curds and some form of gravy. There are many variations, the kind I'm used to has a brown gravy. A mushroom gravy sounds like heaven. Got recipes for that and the caschew nut cheese you mentioned?

What is jicama?

Jicama is a veggie. It's usually round and sorta tan on the outside, white and crunchy (like a crisp apple) on the inside. It has a sweet taste. It's really good.

if u do a search - i believe mushroom/'shroom gravy is on here and i know that cashew cheese is on the site. also, raw food wednesday/tofu666 has cashew cheese and possibly mushroom gravy. enjoy!

Oh I"m dying now. I've been raw 4 months and this used to be one of my favourite things. There is a place like 15 minutes from me that makes these and they are heavenly. Now I'm craving these all over again. I hope someone comes up with something like this and you've got me thinking now.
