I don't know if anyone can know the answer to this question, but what would you estimate the Raw Vegan population is of the US and UK and other countries?

It seems like only a handful of people are raw vegan in the UK and much more established in the US.

I'm just curious to know how many of us there are :)

I would think the percentage is less than the percentage of natural born red heads. Less than 9%.

But I have ZERO scientific data to back that up. :)

idk but its a very small percentage of all vegans which is already a small percentage. so pretty small lol.

Ummmm, 20. Yeah, that's it. 20... oh no, wait. Someone just "fell off the wagon".. O.k., um, that makes it 19... ooops! Just had a new family jump on board... well, that makes, ummm *checks fingers* ... 23! Yeah! 23! Last count... oh pooh! Another "fell of the wagon"... make it 22...

So, are we talking percentages here? And what percent = raw vegan will make it into this survey? You know like vegetarians eat chicken and fish? Only occasionally so... I guess you'll need to be more specific, eh?

Actually every human born on this circle of life called Earth is essentially a Raw Vegan. It's not until our cultures taint us to eat otherwise...think about it..

I think a raw vegan is a special person. I bet the majority of them have learned from Alissa. There are a lot of unhealthy vegans out there. I listen to vegan/animal rights podcasts and the hosts are vegan for ethical reasons - not health reasons. Unfortunately many of these vegans eat lots of soy processed (junk) products. I'd like to start educating them about how to be healthy vegans by going raw vegan.

I live in a conservative retirement coastal community of about ten thousand people and am shocked at how often I hear of other raw foodists around. They just don't hang around this board is all.........

How many raw vegans does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Better learn how to do it yourself.

because what about those people that don't realize what they are doing, those with "no labels" For quite some time I was following a raw vegan path before I had even heard of raw veganism! I was juice fasting, eating lots of veggies and salads and nuts for snacks and didn't realize that this was an actual way of life for soo many people!

"How many raw vegans does it take to screw in a light bulb?"

None! Their auras are so bright they don't need no stinkin' light bulbs. ;-})

Also, thanks to some celebrities and television in general, this lifestyle is getting a lot of exposure and spreading quickly. See, something to be said for mass media! There's so much suffering in this world that it's nice to see some people choosing to do the right thing when they're educated.
