I find i don't do so well eating grains. they make me bloat and break out. i've had sprouted wraps made from a combination of seeds/nuts from the health food store a while ago but i would like to make my own. so any good recipes? thankkss!
oh i have a load of lentils i just bought so maybe i could use them. are lentils considered a grain?
Lentils are not a grain.
Buckwheat is actually a fruit although it is often used like a grain.
How about the onion bread- no grain there.
Are you sprouting your grains? Have you tried some like quinoa or millet or just wheat?

i'll try buckwheat. i'm new to sprouting. the only breads i had some far are store bought sprouted ones.
How about the burger bun here:

I have made it twice now (I just whir it in a cuisinart until good and whipped rather than putting it through a juicer). I love this bread. Tastes like real bread.

RawCutter posted a tortilla recipe made from corn. It was like a tostado and this was my first recipe that I made perfect the first time. Well maybe not the first but not one that I love more than this one. In fact I've been meaning to send him a message saying how great this is. O.k. it was posted 04/16/07 if I have it correct. Anyway this is the tortilla part:
CORN TORTILLAS
12 EARS CORN (I USED 4/5)
1/4 YELLOW PEPPER
1/4 ORANGE PEPPER
2 CLOVES GARLIC
1/4 CUP SOAKED SUN DRIED TOMATOES
2 T SPROUTED FLAX SEEDS (TOOK ME OVER A WEEK FOR SEEDS TO SPROUT)
2 t CUMIN
2 t SEA SALT
1/4 CUP CHOPPED PARSLEY
(I USED LISTED AMOUNTS EXCEPT FOR CORN EARS)
Cut the corn off the cob. Put all the kernels in a bowl of water and let sit for
about 10 minutes and drain. Put all the ingredients in the food processor and
process for about 2 minutes. You want it a little soupy. Spread the mixture onto a non-stick sheet and dehydrate for about an hour or two. Flip it onto the screen and dehydrate overnight. It should come out nice and crispy.
If you find holes in the chip after the flip, you can fill them in with some more batter. His recipe made 3 sheets. (Mine made 2)

Those recipes sound like they'd be good! WOW! Thanks for posting that.

I make flexible tortillas using just celery and flax meal. You can add or substitue the vegetable and/or use chia meal. In a food procesor add the vegetable and process until very soupy then add the flax meal. I find to an average size bunch of celery use about 3/4 cup of flax meal. Also can add caraway seeds to the celery. Allow flax meal to thoroughly mix in and its ready to spread on dehydrator sheets or can refrigerate to stiffen more. Spread thinly and dehydrate at 105, turn once after 4 to 6 hours and other side takes about 2 hours. Dont leave in too long or you will have a cracker.
