I want to take the certification course Raw Chef 1 and Raw Chef Cert 2, but if I only take Cert 1 and 2 does that mean I can't certify people for Level 1 and Level 2? Do I have to get the 3rd cert in order to certify people as a level 2?

Thanks,
Tanisha

That's exactly right. 1 & 2 means you can certify others for 1. 1, 2 & 3 means you can certify others for 1 & 2.

Only Alissa teaches 3. I know there is a 1-3 class around the beginning of November. I really want to go to it, but now I'm teaching an English class every week on Thursday nights. :(

I did Level 1 just for knowledge with Adrienne Martin, and I learned a lot. It was great. I do want to step it up, but I'm just now feeling confident and more able to take control of my "rawness" more long-term. :)

Hi! I just did the September Class Teacher Cert. with Alissa and it was the most amazing thing I have ever done for myself. Totally recommend it! Elaine (who facilitates and moderates the class) & Alissa are just fantastic people who truly help others from their hearts. Total joy. :D

I take it that the cost is about $5000.000?

I think it was about $2400?? Not 5000 though. If you call them, they'll send you an email pretty quickly with all of the details.

By the way, Freebird... I'd really like to hear more about your experience if you don't mind. I bet docsharp would too! I'm still considering it, even if I would have to pay a substitute teacher for that night, but it's a lot of time and expense...

It's hard to explain what happens up there in Kittery.. they kept on saying at the beginning that "it's all about the food and it's not about the food". The 5 day was accelerated and you delve deep within yourself to find some answers. It's something completely unexpected because you go up there on the premise that it is ALL about the food. And don't get me wrong it is, you learn other things that are connected to the lifestyle and help you understand yourself better. You learn how to look at things differently as opposed to being objective, you learn that subjective is much kinder to yourself and the experience. I'm actually selling this course way short of what it achieves but I'll give you an example. A friend went up with me to do the course because she was interested in the lifestyle and thought Alissa looked like a nice lady. My friend Jbean was pretty skeptical at first and thought she'd last the 5 days maybe....and being a fast food junkie thought that yeah, she'd give it a go, just to see if she lost weight. Fast forward to almost 3 weeks later.. Her whole attitude to life has changed dramatically, she's not concerned with cooked food because she just knows that there is no other option for her than raw & living foods. Even she can't explain what happened up there, but she is so grateful for the experience and has learned how to deal with life in a much healthier way. Plus she looks fabulous and is truly connecting with herself for the first time in years. If you want to change your life, go do the course.

Wow! I am soooooo going to try to make this happen!!!!!

And anyways, I just got off the phone with my coworker. It looks like we'll be getting monster bonuses this year, and I'll be changing into a more interesting and higher paying job (with the same company) in January! Yay.

It's so funny how the pieces of the puzzle all fit together and they are starting to add up to raw food and self fulfillment (and that really seems to be something that goes hand in hand for me)...

Thanks for your explanation of what happens. :)

No probs DocSharp.. Also you can truly learn how to be of value to yourself and others after this course. Elaine & Alissa provide you with all the tools you need to do what you really want to do. I'm seeing first hand Dreams become Reality. xoxoxo

I just found out that this November class will be Alissa's last class for a while. I wonder if there will be anyone else available to teach level 3 or is this it.

Well I Plan to go to the November class as long as it doesn't book by Friday. Is there anyone else going? I wonder if they will connect people to share rooms, the rooms there seem a bit expensive.

You'll be able to connect with others going to the class to find a roommate and such. I found one rather quickly, through the board here actually. I would definitely go. And it's all about the food and so NOT all about the food! It is a life-changing experience!:D

OMG you are going to have a fabulous time. I believe they will send out a contact list of other attendees and you can arrange shared accom and rides that way. Yay! I'm so excited for you. xoxox

Yep ~ I can attest to this as well. I found a roomie right away and shared expense of hotel and rental car. The class is unbelievable and Freebird did a great job describing the indescribable. Alissa and Elaine are AMAZING and the people you meet will change you. AHHHHH... I come to tears just thinking about that amazing time in my life. (I was in the December 2006 class) Good luck and have FUN! :D

Great!! I'm so excited. I was reading on some of the archives that Rawnlocs suggested that we try to book our classes before we even leave, I think it's a great Idea because it's true if you wait to long and think to much about doing something it won't get done.

Maybe booking early is not for everyone, but I plan to use this time to practice practice practice because I don't plan to make excuses I've learned so much about that in the past couple years.

See you there Eva.

You mean book the classes to teach before you even leave on November 5? That's an interesting idea. I can't wait to actually teach one! :)

Yes take a look at Rawnlocs post:

http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=12033&highlight=alissa+training

I think it's a great idea to jump start things because it's so true, how we can start to make excuses and never end up teaching classes.
