Nothing much. I buy some soap that is hand made from coconut oil and lavender. I wash with it from time to time, especially if I've gotten really sweaty or dirty. Like out working in my garden or some such thing. But most of the time I only use water on my face. I have some sort of wrinkle cream from Yves Rocher that I use on a couple of forehead lines when I remember to use it...and that's not often. And if my skin is feeling very dry I will slap on some moisturizer, also from Yves Rocher, but I don't have to do that very often. I use a mineral makeup now so I'm not really using anything on my skin that has to be washed off.

In the tub I use assorted sea salts. I also have a bar of Himalayan pink salt that I use on my skin. That's about it.

Here's a link to Yves Rocher. The soap I get at my health food store or nursery. It is made locally and I don't think they sell online. But I've gotten a couple of different kinds so you should probably be able to get it in your area also.

I use a ton of different kinds of shampoos. I am not really brand loyal there. But I do like Yves Rocher for shampoo as well.

Hello! For the past year and a half, I have only been using raw honey as a cleanser for my face and raw coconut oil as my moisturizer and it has been great!! I learned about it through Alissa herself when I went through her teacher certification training back in Oct 2005.

Since then I've also heard from other members on RFT about this. For me, it has been so wonderful and cheap since I already buy honey and coconut oil for my meals. :) There are other versions, but the honey and coconut oil have worked wonderfully for me. :)

Hope this helps!

HI!! I was going to ask the same thing here. I had been using Burt's Bees hair products, (Walgreens) which work great, but they're only 98-99% all natural. I tried an herbal shampoo 100% natural on-line, but it made my hair feel terribly course, coated, and tangled. I wanted to try the Bare Minerals makeup from the infomercials, but was wondering if it really works that great as a foundation? I usually just go without, but it would be worth the $60 if it really works. So if anyone knows! Please let me know. For skin lotion, I mix coconut oil with aloe vera gel, our HFS also has a bulk bin for 100% lotions and hair conditioners I also use. Aloe for face moisturizer, and making masks, it's the best stuff for skin. For soaps, which work great and lather well, I order lavender/rosemary and cinnamon bars from here-

http://www.herbal-gardens.net/natural-soap-lavender-rosemary.htm

Good luck, I hope some others will chime in about what they use!! Hopefully shampoo and makeup!!

I still use stuff from Bath and Body Works:eek:

But I also use unrefined Shea Butter. It's good for burns and getting rid of rashes. Plus it softens my skin really well:D.

Jessirose,

I use bare minerals. I am new to raw and like it for sunscreen purposes. It also covers spots or dark areas without caking up or looking like you don't wear make up. My friends always compliment me when I wear it.

I actually stopped washing my face, and now I just skin brush and rinse with water, then use a cotton pad to get the dead skin cells. I had been breaking out for quite some time and have stopped. It's only been a few weeks, but my skin is improving rapidly.

I stopped shampooing and conditioning about three months ago, and my hair went from back and forth greasy to dry/frizzy to smooth and manageable but not greasy. I do still rinse it in the shower and massage my scalp. Every once in a while, I will use a very small amount of coconut butter/oil if it needs extra moisture.

I haven't quite come to the conclusion I should stop using soap on my body!!! I'm using Dr. Bronner's for that.

I just posted recently that now that I'm using more natural stuff on my face, I'm chemically sensitive to the saline solution for my contact lenses.
It seems like a lot of this world is currently built on using chemicals, so I'm not sure what to do about that.

I have been using my own sugar scrubs, and my skin has never been softer ~ Cathy

Ahhh, Cathy beat me to it.

I also create and use my own sugar scrubs (see the "Abundance" thread on this forum) and if I EVER need to use a moisturizer which is so rare, unrefined shea butter. (Do NOT get the odorless white stuff. It is toxic!)

Hi there, i'm in the UK so not sure if you will be able to get all of theses products easily but all are available on line. Raw Gaia is a great company that makes raw vegan 100% natural face packs, moisturisers & body butters. Really good value for money & work great. Weleda have a big range of natural chemical free products for all the family. Dr Bronner is also really good.

the number one thing i apply to my body is coconut oil. i moisturize with it (whole body) every day after the shower. the difference is unbelievable. i'm going to be a user for life. i also use it has an eye cream for occasional dry areas on face (which i dont really get anymore since going raw). i also use coconut oil for make up remover. for face wash i use a Dessert Essence face scrub which is pretty much all natural. the only conventional products i still use are like shampoo and conditioner.

I like bare minerals, but I LOVE www.affusionskincare.com products. This woman is a Master Herbalist and her products are amazing. They cover much nicer than Bare Minerals.

I also just use water and dry skin brushing on my face ~ I used to use HEAVY DUTY glycolic on my face and never would have believed that a dry skin brush could do so much. I have eczema and very sensitive skin and it has really been a miracle for me. I also dry skin brush my body so no more need for lotion. Bare minerals burned my skin but I know it works wonders for others! Good luck. OH ~ I also use morroco method shampoo which is raw vegan and I really love it. :D

Justine! So cool to see someone else is doing that... I never would have expected something so simple to work. I had tried face wash for sensitive skin too, but this is just so effective. :)

The Morrocan mint sounds divine.

Hey, I use Bare Minerals also. I have only worn base once or twice in my life, but I have been using Bare Minerals as sun screen for the last 8 months. I also use Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap. Love the stuff. I am hoping for the day when I might not have to use underarm goop.

Great info everyone, thanks so much! I ordered some of Dr Bronner's soaps, they're bigger and a little cheaper than the ones I've been buying, they even have them at vitacost.com which is one of my favorite places to shop on-line, with flat-rate shipping.

I was also very interested in the sugar scrub, but couldn't find the thread containing that info either?

Dr. Bronner's is very concentrated. You will only need a few drops on a wash cloth. Do a little experimenting to find the rihgt amount. Good Luck.

I use Miracle II Soap and sometimes I will rub cacao butter on my skin.
