I'm on day #9 of 100% raw, and after almost a year of dealing with chronic yeast infections, it's gone!!! Not only that, but my athlete's foot is also gone, I'm off of my acne medication, and I have about a thousand times more energy. After only 9 days, I can't wait to see what else is in store. I've also been dealing with high liver function tests which my doctor can't seem to find a cause. She wants to send me to a gastroenterologist now, but I think I'm going to ask for another blood test first to see if it fixes itself with raw, before I subject myself to a bunch of unpleasant tests. I'm just so happy I found out about raw!!

That is WONDERFUL!!!

I, too, was able to get rid of chronic yeast infections as well as oral thrush by simply going raw...no restrictions or cutting back on fruit or nuts (fat)...just eating raw. I know how elated you must feel!

I wish you healing on the other issue (liver) as I'm sure your body can reverse it...you "may" also wish to look into to liver cleansing. Here is a link provided by Alissa: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?p=255204#post255204
and you can also check into www.curezone.com as well for info on various other ways to liver cleanse. My husband did some liver cleanses and I saw the stones he passed...some big and some small so they DO work as far as getting stones out. I don't know how they work, but he passed them!

Congrats on your 9 days raw and getting rid of yeast, athlete's foot and getting off acne meds!

Hi Agumble,
Your words are so encouraging to me. I too have chronic yeast infections and cystic acne. I can't tell you what it means to hear that I have finally found a solution. I have been dealing with these issues for over 16 years without a healthy solution. I've been on antibiotics over and over and know that it only covers up the problem. I am so grateful to find this site. I have tried the candida diets in the past and only been able to go about 1 week. Could you tell me how you keep going thru the cravings or withdraws? I know I'm addicted to sugar and carbs. I also know raw food is the solution I've been looking for. Thank you, for any advice.

Yep, I don't believe that candida can survive in an enzyme-rich environment. I shook it off with just a normal raw diet. But the die-off for a month slowed me down, made me stupid and lethargic, but I survived to thrive!

Hi berrynice,

I tried those online anti-candida diets for three months with a little improvement but nothing to brag about. Plus anytime I cheated even a little, all of my symptoms would flare up again. I also know exactly what you mean about the cravings.....the first few days of no sugar and carbs were hell. They eventually passed, but it still wasn't fun not eating any sugar. I'm so glad you found this website because this way of eating is amazing. I was eating absolutely 0 grams of sugar before, and just the other day I had five bananas and two apples during the day, and my symptoms are still gone. I was definitely scared to death to eat sugar when I first tried this, but I'm so glad I did. Just as a warning, my first few days I had the detox symptoms from hell, probably since I jumped into 100% raw right away. But those few times of detox were definitely worth how I'm feeling now, especially in seeing results in only a week!

And thanks for the info on the liver cleanse, rawkinlocs! I think I may try that.........anything to avoid an appointment with the gastroenterologist.

YAY! That is so great so many folks sharing their healing! Raw really is healing to the body... I mean, really, have you ever heard anyone reverse a disease or condition from eating, say, red meat or rice and beans??? Nope, but all the time I hear about people healing everything under the rainbow with raw foods! :)

I think I have a yeast infection skin rash on my breast. I never knew that was possible. It's been over a week, it's so itchy. I don't want to go to the doctor. It's getting better where it's not as itchy today (*knock on wood*) but it's a tough spot since I have to wear a bra and if I get overheated. But I am hoping since I am keeping up raw it's going away! I just don't know what else to do, does anyone know any home remedies?

Colloidal silver topically, calendula oil topically, coconut oil topically and internally tea tree oil topically and oregano oil will all kill external yeast. There are many others...but you can start there!
