where can I get this? is any store okay? celestial seasonings brand or is this strictly a health food store purchase. is this actually the raspberry, the leaf of the plant, or both? does anyone know how the tea is made (steeping) or how many times of the day to drink it? thanks for the info!

I bought celestial seasonings and a brand from the health food store. Both are in bags. I always put a lil lemon in for flavor!

Some hfs also sell it in the bulk. I liked mine straight - a little lemon is always good. Some people like to add a bit of stevia too.;)
I haven't had any since I've gone raw - but how I used to make it is get the water just shy of steaming (you should be able to stick you finger in it - it should be pretty hot but tolerable), then pour it over the red raspberry leaves and let it steep for several minutes.
How often you should drink it depends on what you're taking it for - and how your body reacts to it.
When I was pregnant - I drank it constantly -- excellent for the blood (anemia) and also for morning sickness! Looove red raspberry tea! :D

I've had better luck getting medicinal herbal teas in bulk because the herb pieces are bigger that way than ground up in a tea bag. That makes it lose some of it's potency. In the future I'll pick it and dry it...

Went to Whole Foods- no raspberry leaf tea in bulk so I did buy Raspberry Zinger by Celes. Seasonings. Will this still have the same effect? Is this the same as raspb. leaf tea? or is it plain raspb. tea with no leaves

you're much better off buying it in bulk. If you are wanting to use it medicinally you need to make an infusion and steep it covered in warm water for a solid half hour-the longer the better. You can actually put it in room temp water covered and put it out in the sun for the day if you prefer.

I thought you should only take rasberry leaf tea during the last three months of pregnancy as it relaxes the uterus muscles so making childbirth easier.:(
I would like to think that taking rasberry leaf tea would also relax all the muscles in the body. Does anyone have any information on that?

It is a uterine tonic...It stengthens the muscles and part of stregthening them is allowing them to relax. It is high in both calcium and magnesium. Calcium allowa muscles to contract magnesium allows them to relax.
IT is highly nourishing and can be enjoyed through the entire pregnancy and beyond.
IF you are looking specifically for a smuscle relaxer there are herbs better suited to that.
Thanks.
I will have to do some research to find them.
God bless
:)
