10 months ago I became a very strict vegan. In the last 2 weeks I have been 100% raw, and loving it! The problem is, my weight loss is so fast that I need to seriously tone up. I went from 215lbs to 142lbs. When I am standing still everything is beautiful. My proportions are great. My inner thighs look like jello when I walk. My arms wave before I say good-bye!
Does anyone have advice on how to tone up these areas. I stopped running 3.5 miles a day to slow down the weight loss, but being raw I'm losing faster than ever!

Have you tried resistance exercises (lifting weights), doing lunges with or without weights, squats, etc?

Hi Teraw,
First of all - congratulations on all your progress! No matter how many stories I hear these transformations are always so amazing to me.
From what I have read on this board this is pretty normal - becoming jiggly before toning up again. I did pilates for a couple years, but did not get the results that I am getting from Callanetics/ The Bar Method/ Fluidity - things like that. They have been really helpful for me and pretty much non-impact which I like. I also like to do push-ups and do lunges and arm work with 5-10lb hand weights.
Just my 2 cents worth....
All the best to you and good luck!!!

Perhaps you can also trying eating more if you're losing faster than you'd lilke. I bet a lot of people on here would like to be in your position. :)

eat more, eat more fat (i find that helps with firming, especially saturated fat like coconut), doing weights, etc.

I'm now on my 5th year in my 95-99% raw life and I feel smashing!!!! And I work out every day in my gym.
That what you are going through happend to me in my first year of raw. I lost about 30 pounds of my weight and I wasn't even overweight. Your body is actually now removing everything what you have collected in your SAD life. This takes time but after the work is done and if you work out your muscles will gain weight again and they will be much better quality than the ones you had.
Cheers

I'm glad you posted that...I needed to see this also. I've been concerned about all the muscle loss and how my "final" body will look after all this transitioning.....

Intense yoga, particularly Bikram. If you can't get to a studio, consider buying the DVD, crank a heater in the bathroom and do it in there.
