I made it 40 hours ago. is it still good? I know sesame starts to go after 24 hours right? but what about nut milks? are they more stable?

I like mine best if used within 2 days...on occasion three. Taste it and you will know immediatly if it has turned. I find a little honey keeps it fresher.

Sometimes mine can last 4 or 5 days but I always smell it after a few days to make sure. Also it depends on what nuts I use and I put it in a jam jar with a tight lid.

Now that a better idea is to use a jam jar. I usually make enough for about 2 or 3 quarts and end up putting it into a plastic container. But just recently i bought a whole case of Ball one quart jars with rubber and plastic lids, so it should keep longer this time!

PATH301,

Yes, try it out. I came up with that idea because I figured I needed something airtight, that is my big thing raw is to have airtight containers. Anywho I had jam jars and they are about the right size for the 1 cup to nuts and 3 cup of water ratio. Sometimes I just drink the excess so it fits in the jar right or you could use a bigger jar. Then I put masking tape on the lid part and label it with the date so I know when it was made. I try to do that with all my raw food especially things that don't last long.
